In her exhibition at Galleri Utposten Anneli shows paintings that are held together by handful of factors: Sea and land, abstract surfaces and blurred figures.
Inspiration for Anneli’s paintings often comes from the landscape in Bohuslän off the Swedish west coast and its character goes back into the gray scales, the bold motives and the wild untouched nature.
Her work technique is complex, she often starts with a black base that reminds of working from a negative. She then aplies the colors in thin layers until she finds something that can symbolize a feeling or motive. Anneli often prefers using a piece of rag rather than brushes to aply the paint on the canvas.
Anneli exhibits regularly both internationally and in Sweden. In recent years, in addition to Sweden she has exhibited in Denmark, NL, Spain, Portugal, UK, Germany, Lithuania, Korea, India and China.
Her art is represented at the City Hall, Stenungsund, Sweden, Yrkeshögskolan Competensum, Ängelholm, Sweden, R.Tagore Center ( ICCR, Indian Council for Cultural Relationships) Kolkata, India and Henan Art Museum in Zhengzhou, China.
